I found this illuminations site that has plenty of math activities I could use as extensions in my classroom.

http://www.schoolhouserock.tv/

Using this website would be a fun way to teach younger kids about grammar, probably too "kidy" for anyone above sixth grade.

Use this link, http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/collections/continental/defects.html for 8th grade US History to definitively show the weak points in the Articles of Confederation for class. It goes more in depth than our textbook etc.

The thinkinfinity is another search engine I may use to find more interactive math materials.

Students can examine the elements that help an author create realistic characterizations by following a series of steps. This can be used by having them create scenes with their friends as characters.

I teach a holocasut unit to 6th grade and sometimes 8th grade. I found this site to be useful:http://www.aish.com/ho/

It is jewish website that is providing accounts on the Holocasut. On this site, it provides testimonies of survivors, describes diffferent events,a shorter overview of the history of the causes and effects of the holocaust. The articles are short and not drawn out so it will be easier to keep students attention. It also provides endless topics for students to research.
